TECO -Westinghouse
As early as 1976, TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. entered the US market. In 1987, heavy the motor production and marketing division of Westinghouse Electric Co. Ltd., a US company of over 100 years of history, merged with TECO to form a joint-venture, named ¡§Westinghouse Motor Company¡¨. In April, 1995, TECO Electric & Machinery went on with the acquisition of Westinghouse Motor Company, making it a 100%-TECO owned enterprise, and formally changed the company name to TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company which handles the all US marketing, sales, and product services for TECO and TECO-Westinghouse branded motors manufactured in Taiwan and Malaysia.
